CHELSEY DAILEY
Producer, Writer, Actress (role of BECKY)
Chelsey Dailey has been the primary visionary of WooMen. She graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA and academic honors. She began interning with Darren Aronofsky and Eric Watson’s company Protozoa Pictures (The Wrestler, Requiem for a Dream) as a freshman. This developed into a beautiful mentorship that allowed Chelsey to work on Aronofsky’s film The Fountain produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and shot in Montreal. After she moved to L.A., she worked on the set of Joel Schumacher’s The Number 23 starring Jim Carrey. But when she became Apatow Production’s producer Shauna Robertson’s assistant, she knew comedy was her genre. During this time, Chelsey worked on Knocked Up, Superbad, Pineapple Express, and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, among the best producers, writers, directors, and performers in the comedy world.
As an actress, Chelsey studied at the renowned Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City and received her degree in theater from NYU. Additionally she spent a summer studying Stanislavski’s methods in St. Petersburg and The Moscow Theatre Arts School in Russia. Often cast in comedy, she had a role in Superbad and has improvised with Robin Williams on the main stage at The Upright Citizens Brigade.
KATIE FLYNN
Writer, Actress (role of CARLY)
Katie Flynn graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Creative writing/Comparative Literature. She been in numerous TV shows including NBC’s The Office, CBS’s Numb3rs, and David E. Kelley’s pilot The Wedding Bells. Numerous films including the lead in The Auteur (official selection for Tribeca 2008), National Lampoon Presents The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell, and Blind Dating opposite Chris Pine. And several popular online comedy shorts including Mindy Kaling’s House Poor and Nick Kroll’s Rich Dicks. She was voted One of People Magazine’s Most Beautiful People in 2005 and was named Miss Golden Globe in 2001. She’s also a graduate from the William Esper Acting Studio in New York. Additionally, she is featured in many national commercial campaigns including Sprint NFL, Ford, VW “Sign then Drive” Campaign, Natural Advantage Skincare, and LasVegas.com “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas campaign.”
For the last three years she’s worked as an assistant for the writers of The Office, in particular, B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling. She’s currently developing a web series,"The Quitter Show" with James Keach’s company, Catfish Productions.
ERIC WATSON
Producer
Eric Watson is an accomplished film producer whose credits include Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, and Pi. His projects have been nominated for Academy Awards, Golden Globes and won countless honors from festivals including the Sundance Film Festival. He knows the independent film world better than anyone and his experience will be an invaluable asset once the film is completed.
MAGELA CROSIGNANI
Cinematographer/Director of Photography
Magela Crosignani holds a BFA degree in Film from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She also recently completed an MFA degree in Cinematography from the American Film Institute (AFI). The films that she made in school have garnered numerous awards including the Kodak Cinematography award at the 2005 Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Maurice Kanbar Achievement in Cinematography at the 2004 and 2005 Fusion Film Festival in New York City.
Magela has worked with many prestigious names in the industry, some credits include: Second Unit Cinematographer and Camera Operator for Liev Schreiber´s directorial debut Everything is Illuminated, starring Elijah Wood and shot in Prague. On-set Colorist for Darren Aronofsky´s film The Fountain, produced by Warner Bros Pictures and shot in Montreal. Second Unit Cinematographer for French director Olivier Dahan (La Vie en Rose) on his first American film My Own Love Song produced by Legende Films and starring Renee Zellweger. She has also worked directly under cinematographer Matthew Libatique on both Spike Lee's and Joel Schumacher's sets. More recently, she was a Camera Operator for Spike Lee's documentary on Kobe Bryant. Since graduating from AFI, Magela has already worked on two feature films as the Director of Photography, including The Imperialists are Still Alive, which was just named an Official Selection of the 2010 Sundance Festival. Currently, Magela is filming a feature length documentary on location in China about diplomatic relationships between China and the US.
CHARLES GOODAN
Music Supervisor and Composer
Charles Goodan is a Grammy Award winning producer whose first film that he ever composed, Fight Club, earned him a Brit Award Nomination. He majored in Music Science Technology at Stanford and came to LA in 1996 to become staff producer for the Dust Brothers. He started playing the piano at the age of two and can now play just about any instrument.
Some of Charles‘ other music awards include: Grammy Award - Album of the Year (Santana), Billboard Number 1 (Hanson), Grammy Award Nomination (Rolling Stones), Grammy Award Nomination (Dust Brothers). He has extensive production experience that includes Santana, Beck, Linkin Park, Rolling Stones, Smashmouth, Coolio, Leif Garrett, Scissors for Lefty, and Harper Simon. His work is featured in Blow, UC: Undercover, Push Nevada, Blue Haven, and he’s additionally written music for Showtime, The Four Seasons Resort, Radio Music Awards, Gap, and Timex.
Synopsis:
A docu-comedy that follows four very different women before, during, and after the WooMen Weekend Workshop, which somehow helps them better understand men, love, relationships, and ultimately themselves.
